This is a before photo of a typical metal roof on a commercial building. The problems experienced are typical as well. Note the loose screws and large gap at the end-lap on the panels. This is the usual result of years of contraction & expansion and the fluttering affect of the wind.
This photo shows how the gaps are permanently sealed. The screws cannot continue to back out and the roof will not flutter in the wind as before. Millions of fiberglass strands per square yard are blended with emulsion to form a tough, pliable shell on your roof.
The photo at left shows a worker installing the high tech Chopped Fiberglass roofing system on a metal roof. Only the highest grade Bentonite Clay® based emulsion asphalt and Plastex fiberglass roving are used. The result is a pliable, seamless watertight roof.
And the finish product! This customer chose the additional application of bright (note the glare) aluminized emulsion coating for heat reflection.
